How do Consumers Know Avalon Products Qualify?

All Avalon eligible products have been independently tested and/or reviewed by industry laboratories – Omni Environmental Labs or Myren Consulting. These third-party, independent testing laboratories ensure Avalon products meet or exceed the 75%-efficiency standard. To our knowledge, no other hearth manufacturer has gone through this crucial step to ensure safety and accuracy.

Additionally, Avalon dealers will provide an efficiency verification certificate during the purchase – certifying that product qualifies for the tax credit. Please download this Certificate of Efficiency, and keep a copy for your records.

What Exactly is a Tax Credit?

Consumers claim the credit on their federal income tax form at the end of the year. The credit then increases the tax refund or decreases the amount the taxpayer has to pay, dollar-for-dollar; whereas, tax deductions simply lower your taxable income.
